On Wednesday, April 20 2005, the President signed into law the "Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005" (S. 256), which makes extensive changes to the Bankruptcy Code. Although the Act is widely known for its consumer provisions, it contains several sections that will affect business bankruptcies.
